Card payments, side by side
Outgrown SumUp? Here's what switching to Dojo looks like.
SumUp is a great way to start. But a flat rate that suits a market stall keeps charging the same once you're busy. Dojo gives you a rate set for your business, better kit, and a real person who looks after it.

SumUp1.69%
On every sale, whatever your size. Plus the reader you buy.

No monthly rental and nothing to pay upfront. Switch from SumUp, and the only thing you pay is your new, lower rate.
£0Why businesses switch
Five reasons, side by side.
One price for everyone, or a rate set for you
SumUp1.69% on every sale, whether you take £500 or £50,000 a month.
DojoA bespoke rate based on what you actually take, agreed with your consultant.
Flat rates are simple, and that's why they cost more as you grow. With Dojo we look at your statement, your average sale and your card mix, then set a rate that fits, and we can look at it again as you grow.
The small print on cheaper SumUp plans
SumUpPayments Plus is £19/month to get 0.99%, and only on domestic consumer cards.
DojoNo subscription to unlock your rate. The rate you agree is the rate you pay.
On Payments Plus, international, corporate and premium cards (including American Express) are still charged 1.69%, and online payments are 2.5%. If you serve trade or business customers, a lot of them pay on corporate cards, so those sales stay on the higher rate.
Buy-your-own reader, or kit built for busy days
SumUpYou buy the reader outright, from £25 to £135 + VAT, and replace it yourself.
DojoMachines with Wi-Fi and 4G options, and Dojo Go Max plugs into 600+ EPOS systems.
Dojo's mobile machines switch between Wi-Fi and 4G on their own, so a dropped signal doesn't stop a sale. They connect to your till for pay-at-counter and pay-at-table, and the Dojo app shows every transaction as it happens.
Sort it yourself, or have someone in your corner
SumUpOrder online, set it up from the app, and help centre when something goes wrong.
DojoA local consultant who sets you up in person, plus Dojo's 24/7 UK tech support.
We come to you, get the machine running with your till, and stay your point of contact. If something needs changing, you message us, not a queue.
Easy to try
SumUpNo contract, which is great, but you're paying for that flexibility in the rate.
DojoCommitment-free start: no account closure fee if you leave within the first 30 days.
Machines can arrive within 24 hours of approval, and setup usually takes around three days from applying. We handle the paperwork with you.

Pay it back in full each month and you just get the cashback, no interest.
